Thermography is a valuable health discovery tool, for men, women and children.
Wellness From Head To Toe
State-of-the-art medical thermography can non-invasively detect early signs that a dysfunction is developing.
SOZO LIFE AND WELLNESS is very excited to now offer the only FDA approved FLIR camera and software system for medical thermography in Northeast Tennessee and the surrounding region.
Medical thermography is a safe and inexpensive imaging modality that validates complaints, serves as an extension for the physical exam, and assists with decision making. Thermology is a visual science in pattern recognition of health and disease states.
Maintain Your Health By Monitoring For Changes Over Time.
IMPORTANT TO NOTE: In the past our thermography at SOZO was conducted with a third-party host traveling to our area from Asheville, NC. After discovering their technology was outdated - we researched the best medical thermography available and that is what we are now using. Our scans at SOZO will be interpreted by MD’s who are trained according to the American Academy of Thermology (AAT) guidelines.
Our SOZO medical thermography is done with the patient behind a privacy screen at all times, plus it is non-invasive with no contact, and with zero radiation.
The Camera Difference
The camera is the most important part of thermography. Most thermographers today are using 19,000 pixel cameras — at SOZO LIFE AND WELLNESS we use the highest resolution available of over 300,000 pixels. These head photos are from an actual patient and show the huge improvement in technology that we now utilize.
FDA Approved Camera & Software
This proprietary software shows an overlay of the human anatomy to help you and your medical professionals better target organs and areas of interest.

BREASTS
Along with mammography, MRI, Ultrasound and other tests, thermography is used as an additional tool to help detect early diagnosis, instead of waiting for symptoms. Thermal patters “may suggest” AND correlate with history or findings from other testing.

Medical Thermography FAQ’s:
-
Yes! A stable baseline can be established on the follow-up appointment. Our interpreting physicians will compare your images from your first imaging to those of your follow up imaging. When they do this, they are looking for signs that the breasts are thermographically stable. When they see this stability, they will recommend that you come back for imaging in one year for an annual follow-up. If they do not see stability, they may recommend further clinical correlation, and another follow up in 3 – 6 months.
-
Within 7-10 days your report will be email to you with password encryption.
Your report includes a full set of images and an interpretation of those images by licensed and board certified Medical Doctors who are trained according to the American Academy Of Thermology (AAT). The primary goal is to provide a meaningful report to the patient and their medical team to support ongoing health assessment and prevention.
-
Thermal abnormalities related to injuries, physiological changes, inflammation and more. When our physicians evaluate your images, they will assess their significance and comment as to whether they see a low, moderate or high level of significance. They will also recommend a follow-up appointment for further evaluation or to establish a baseline.
-
Yes! We have many clients who have breast implants.
-
Really, anyone who is interested in proactively taking charge of their health will benefit from thermal imaging. So many people are focused on disease diagnosis. However, the shift to Health Discovery is a progressive approach for people who value the process of monitoring their health and making lifestyle changes with the guidance of their healthcare practitioners to achieve big results for their health and longevity.
-
No, it does not. Thermography and mammography are different. Mammography uses radiation to detect structural changes like lumps or masses of cells. Thermography looks at the blood-feeding those cells. Thermography is safe, painless and no touch, it takes infrared images with a digital infrared digital camera.
-
Thermography does not see cancer. If our interpreting physicians see somethingthat they would consider “thermographically significant” they will give you a strong and intentional encouragement to seek further clinical correlation. “Thermographically Significant” does not mean significant for a specific disease.
-
No, you do not. The majority of our clients are self-referred. However, we do have many physicians who refer their patients to us, as they value and understand the benefits of thermographic imaging.

No difference. It is impossible to regulate the humidity of a room. As long as there is an appropriate cool down period and the temperature of the office is appropriate, our very accurate camera will record your images accurately. Traveling vs non-traveling is a choice.
